Captain Noah Wiswall was born on 30 December 1638 at Dorchester, Suffolk, MA. He was the son of Elder Thomas Wiswall and Elizabeth Berbage. Captain Noah Wiswall married Theodocia Jackson, daughter of Deacon John Jackson and Margaret (?), on 14 December 1664 at Cambridge or Newton, Massachusetts.1 Killed in battle with the Indians at Wheelwright's Pond, July 6th, 1690.

He was a man of education, and was employed in 1681 to transcribe the town records; was selectman in 1685, assessor in 1686, served on important committees; he was captain of the military company.

In 1690 a band of French and Indians were comitting depredations and in battle with them Captain Wiswall was slain. Tradition says he had a son, John, who fell in the same battle. Lands were granted the heirs of Captain Noah Wiswall, for his patriotic service. Captain Noah Wiswall died on 6 July 1690 at Wheelwright's Pond, Lee, New Hampshire, at age 51.
