Margaret Hamilton

     Margaret Hamilton was born on 6 August 1775 at Stonehouse, Lanark, Scotland. She was the daughter of James Hamilton and Agnes Hamilton. Marriage banns for Margaret Hamilton and Archibald Witherspoon were published on 21 March 1802 at Hamilton, Lanark, Scotland.¹ As of 21 March 1802,her married name was Wotherspoon. As of 21 March 1802,her married name was Witherspoon.¹ Margaret Hamilton died on 20 March 1855 at Kilncadzow, Carluke, Lanark, Scotland, at age 79; cause of death listed as, "old age, no medical attendant."² She was buried at Dalserf Church Yard, Dalserf, Lanark, Scotland.
