     John Cushing was born in 1627. He was the son of Matthew Cushing and Nazareth Pitcher.

     Thomas Thaxter married Elizabeth (?) before 1626 at Hingham, England.¹ Thomas Thaxter Thomas, first of the name in Hing., was granted a house-lot in 1638 near the 'training field' at Hing. Centre. He afts. purchased of Capt. John Mason, who had removed to Windsor, Conn., the dw.-house and land which previously was Mr. Robert Peck's, and this deed of sale was acknowledged before Mr. Endecot 6 (6) 1647 (S. D., I. 83). The est. referred to was on Bachelor (Main) St, and included the spot upon which Joseph B. Thaxter, a lineal descendant, now resides. Two yrs. later he made sev. purchases of land at Broad Cove, and near Wey. river; also in 1652, the dw.-house and land where his s. John afts. resided. The chris. name of his w. was Elizabeth. She outlived him, and m. secondly, Sept. 29, 1654, William Ripley, widower. Surviving him, she m. thirdly, Jan. 28, 1657-58, John Dwight of Dedham, and d. 17 July, 1660. Thomas d. 4 Feb. 1653-54. 'Linenweaver.' Freeman 18 May, 1642, and a deacon of the church. Resided on Main St., near the meeting-house of the First Parish. In Suff. rec's (II. 15) is a petition to the Court for a division of the est. of Thomas Thaxter late of Hing., who d. intestate, leaving a property valued at £230. He was Linenweaver.² He died on 4 February 1653/54 at Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts.²

     Elizabeth Thaxter was born in 1629. She was the daughter of Thomas Thaxter and Elizabeth (?).

     Thomas Thaxter , Jr. was born in 1632. He was the son of Thomas Thaxter and Elizabeth (?). Thomas Thaxter , Jr. died on 6 January 1646/47.

     Sarah Thaxter was born in 1635. She was the daughter of Thomas Thaxter and Elizabeth (?). As of 13 December 1655,her married name was Thurston.¹ Sarah Thaxter married Thomas Thurston on 13 December 1655 at Hingham, Massachusetts.¹ Sarah Thaxter died in 1678.

     Daniel Thaxter was born in 1638. He was the son of Thomas Thaxter and Elizabeth (?). Daniel Thaxter died on 22 April 1663.

     Samuel Thaxter was born on 19 May 1641 at Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts.² He was the son of Thomas Thaxter and Elizabeth (?).¹ Samuel Thaxter died on 27 May 1725 at age 84.²

     Thomas Thurston was born in 1633. He married Sarah Thaxter, daughter of Thomas Thaxter and Elizabeth (?), on 13 December 1655 at Hingham, Massachusetts.¹ Thomas Thurston died in 1704.

     Mary Gilman married Nicholas Jacob before 1629.¹

     Nicholas Jacob was born circa 1604 at Hingham, Norfolk, England.² He married Mary Gilman before 1629.² Nicholas Jacob immigrated in 1633 to Watertown, Massachusetts.^3,2 He lived in 1635 at Hingham, Massachusetts.² He was freeman on 3 March 1635/36.² He was Innkeeper on 7 October 1640.⁴ He served as Deputy for Hingham to General Court on 10 May 1648.² He left a will on 18 May 1657.² He died on 5 June 1657 at Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts.³

     John Thaxter , Jr was born on 4 December 1651. He was the son of John Thaxter and Elizabeth Jacob.

     Thomas Thaxter was born on 4 June 1654. He was the son of John Thaxter and Elizabeth Jacob. Thomas Thaxter died on 3 September 1704 at age 50.

     Jopseh Thaxter was born on 1 June 1656. He was the son of John Thaxter and Elizabeth Jacob.

     Samuel Thaxter was born on 17 November 1658. He was the son of John Thaxter and Elizabeth Jacob.

     Benjamin Thaxter was born on 4 February 1662/63. He was the son of John Thaxter and Elizabeth Jacob.

     Peter Cushing was born on 29 March 1646. He was the son of Daniel Cushing and Lydia Gilman. Peter Cushing married Hannah Hawke, daughter of Matthew Hawke and Margaret Towle?, on 4 June 1685 at Hingham, Massachusetts.¹ Peter Cushing died on 14 April 1719 at age 73.

     Walter Woodworth "Savage, following Deane, says that the immigrant had a son Walter Woodworth who had children Mary, b. 1658; Mehitable, 1662; and Ebenezer, 1664' [Savage 4:648]. There is only evidence of one Walter Woodworth in early New England, as no record refers to Walter Sr. or Jr. The immigrant had daughters named Mary and Mehitable; no record for an Ebenezer is seen. Paul W. Prindle and Robert S. Wakefield have commented briefly on some errors in secondary sources regarding marriages in this family [TAG 32:203, 61:140]. In arranging the children of Walter Woodworth, the assumption has been made that in his will he named his sons in birth order and his daughters in birth order. This permits a birth sequence for the children which is consistent with other known dates."¹ He was born before 1612 at Kent, England.¹ He immigrated in 1633 to Plymouth, Massachusetts.¹ He was freeman on 2 March 1640/41 at Scituate, Massachusetts.¹ He served as Arbiter on 4 June 1645.¹ He served as surveyor of highways between 4 June 1645 and 3 June 1656.¹ He served as Coroner's jury on 1 July 1680. He died between 26 November 1685 and 25 February 1685/86 at Scituate, Plymouth, Massachusetts.

     Nathaniel Holmes married Sarah Thaxter, daughter of John Thaxter and Elizabeth Jacob, on 1 October 1691.
