     John Cushing was born on 28 July 1781 at Abington, Plymouth, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Ezra Cushing and Susannah Shaw. John Cushing married Polly Wales, daughter of William Wales II and Mary Noyes, on 14 May 1804 at West Abington, Plymouth, Massachusetts. John Cushing was butcher & farmer.2 He died on 23 June 1842 at Abington, Plymouth, Massachusetts, at age 60; died of jaundice.2
