William Lightbody witnessed the death of Margaret Hamilton on 20 March 1855 at Kilncadzow, Carluke, Lanark, Scotland; cause of death listed as, "old age, no medical attendant."5 William Lightbody and Agnes Witherspoon appeared on the census of 1861 at Carluke, Lanarkshire, Scotland. William Lightbody married Marion Martin between 1874 and 1875; Date of marriage to Marion Martin is bracketed by birth of Marion Martin Lightbody (1874) to Elizabeth Lightbody, obviously named after her step-mother, the joint Will of William and Marion dated 1875.6 William Lightbody left a will on 18 January 1875.
