“Why should we then be satisfied with ISO having a monopoly on International Standards? Competition in this area could be a healthy thing.”
Huh!? Should we also have some competition for UN and FIFA? Won’t ISO2 just be another organization that M$ can subvert?

The last I checked the UN did have competition, in many of its missions such as humanitarian relief, peacekeeping, development, etc. In any case, I’m not suggesting replacing ISO, or offering a single alternative “ISO2”. Why not altogether do away with the entire idea of there being a single standardizer at the international level?

Hi. I hope that all is well with you.

First off, I want to say thanks for sharing my blog entry. It’s driven a bit of traffic to my site. I really appreciate your help.

Secondly, I want to share with you and your readers that I made another blog entry about ODF templates.
I found out that we can take advantage of the news feed feature on the templates web site, to notify users that the templates have been updated. The blog entry summarizes how I did it, points to a demonstration template & example news feed, and why I chose that method, instead of the others.

    Sincerely, and with thanks,
    Eugene T.S. Wong
